Packagist Supply Chain Attack Infects 8 Packages Using GitHub-Hosted Linux Malware

A new “coordinated” supply chain attack campaign has impacted eight packages on Packagist including malicious code designed to run a Linux binary retrieved from a GitHub Releases URL.
